Startup vs Fortune 100 TC

What kind of compensation change should one expect moving from a large org to a startup? e.g. Target to a venture funded growth stage company. TC 170~

25-50% paycut, more for senior roles. The equity is funny money so you should only include cash compensation if you’re being open eyed

What kind of role/seniority at each? Startup is high risk/reward. You can usually expect lower base pay. Equity could pan out, but there's a good chance it won't. It's also nearly impossible to accurately value an equity grant at a venture funded startup.

product/business roles, IC at Target, presume director level (people mgr) at startup.

What? If it's a solid growth state startup, it's way better than Target especially since you will be a people manager there.
