Got an offer from a reputed SaaS company in the bay area. TC they offered was 40-50k more than my TC then.

Now Splunk stock going out of the roof, my current TC has climbed to 10-20k less than my future TC. Also my current company is making a case for my promotion.

I was down-leveled at the new company. I accepted it because TC bump was good then and job responsibilities were broader. Now, with probable promotion, I will be able to get similar broader job function here.

Can I renegotiate with the new company for a level above the given and slightly more salary based on changes in my current situation?

    Explain the same thing to the new company recruiter. Ask for 100k more tc than what they are offering.

      When talking to them, make sure you emphasize that you’re still very interested in the new position. They shouldn’t rescind the offer.

      I know at least 3 other cases their managers told them that they are being promoted for a year. At least it is confirmed by HR or they actually show you the paper work, I won't trust their words that much.

      It’s doing ok. But the pay is terrible. But I guess it’s ok overall because the good wlb somewhat compensates for the shitty tc.
