Stock market ups and downs
It’s surreal to see the stocks going up and down almost daily, with lately being more down. Is anyone out there profiting from this? If you know a stock is going to go up a couple percent in a day, it’s easy money. I guess the risk is that if the big drop comes you’ll be down hard.

I was doing this with a few stocks right when the market started to swing. I made a few grand but it was scary putting 20k on one stock for a day.
Considering the market cap of the s&p dropped a few trillion, I’m gonna guess there’s more losers than winners.
The market goes up and down every day. It’s kinda what markets do.
Omg, that's brilliant! I don't think anyone's realized it. You can definitely start a business around it. We just need one office in a random street, put up some walls, and we are ready to start making money
Since we know which stock will go up or down, we could sell that info so that other people buy. We'll get money for it. Or maybe make them give us the money, and we manage it and charge a small fee. We can call it better money management! Or maybe shorten it to betterment! Or wealth to the front! (can be shortened as wealthfront if you think it's too long) What do you think???
If you trade options and okay to lose all investment, you can try to make money. I made around 50k in October and November buying puts. After taking out initial investment, started buying calls thinking market will rebound. Lost all the profits in last 3 weeks. So there is certainly chance to profit. But you have to do it with some risk limiting strategies and know when to get out
Don't touch options or Vix. They are designed for buyers to lose money, like casinos. You can buy stocks or short sell them. Short selling is just the inverse of buying, not any more complicated.
