Let’s say if two engineers got hired and one gets 100k RSU/4 and other gets 200k RSU/4 as part of this offer (with same base) and Both are in the same team, same level, same yoe and got the same performance feedback after the review. Does person 1 gets more stocks in refresh compared to person 2 because he initially got only 100k compared to person2? Or it doesn’t matter.
Anyone else has observed a difference?
The way my coworkers talk about how unhappy they are with their refreshers after learning that we both got roughly the same, makes me suspect their initial grant was much higher than mine. So no, I don’t think initial grant has anything to do with refreshers. It’s just based on performance.
Do you mind sharing the details on the refreshers with IC level ?
Also what's their refresher rates for meets, exceeds, strongly exceeds rating? Eg at ICT4.
nope. Only base and rating and your level matters
They will try to low ball you as much as possible. I know many people who got 0-3,4K refreshers.

Google CFO confirms 'large-scale' layoffs (Apr 17)
I don’t think your original grant will really matter. Also Apple is a pretty stingy employer so they definitely wouldn’t want to pay person 1 more unless they really had to in order to retain him/her.
Thanks
