Stocks and economy resources

For someone who came from a family who just made ends meet with no frivolous spending, etc, now is doing well for himself and his own family, and needing desperately to learn how to invest, the market, crashes, shorting stocks, real estate tips and tricks, bonds, etc etc. Where can one go for resources to learn? Sure I watch the guy that yells about bull markets, but I’m not really learning long term plans and how to diversify properly and what to avoid. I’d love to put on a YouTube series and just watch someone talk and explain. Or a free college lecture course. Books are also ok. Anyone have any tips for tips?

Personally, I found The Essays of Warren Buffett: Lessons of Corporate America, to be a great read. It goes over all the different things you can invest in and it’s a collection of his shareholder letters. It can get a bit dry but has amazing nuggets of knowledge in there.

you don’t really need any books. if you already have the motivation, keep things simple and check out bogleheads or r/personalfinance for even simpler overview

Bogleheads.org or jlcollinsnh.com, read stock series on the latter

There is only one guy who has beaten the market for over 50 years. Listen to him. Or just do a broad diversified portfolio. Everything else is a path to wealth destruction (don’t confuse luck with skill)
