Hi, I am a product manager and was reached out by FB for a strategic partnership manager role in their biz dev org. Can someone explain what does the role entail and what is the interview process for this role?
TC range for SPM?
Maybe. Just maybe you should do a Google search followed by pointed questions for the interviewer? Just sayin
I'm confused at why OP hasn't just asked the recruiter
SPM at FB here. This is the first Iāve heard of SPM in the biz dev org. We have a whole partnerships org itself so the laddering up seems inconsistent there and many SPMs I know work closely with Bjz Dev. Do you have additional info about the product the role would be working on? SPM roles vary - including roles similar to what CP0 stated to more product heavy focuses. Really depends on org.

SPMs manage relationships with public figures, news orgs, and media entities. The role entails driving key business acquisitions and activations in the form of content on FB (think product adoption such as IGTV or FB video deals), helping partners to grow using your products (contractual obligation of usage when it makes sense), and you'll probably help surface product feedback and deal with a variety of operations issues such as impostors, account issues, verification, etc. If you are considering going from PM to SPM, you should chat with SPMs to see what they do, what they like and dislike about the role.
This is wildly incorrect.
