How serious is the 17 day vacation policy at Stripe? Is it strictly enforced or do managers do their own thing? The number of days seems on quite the low end based on their competitors.
Side note, do people really use 4 weeks a year? I just dont know what I would do... i need hobbies
Yeah agree it does seem low. Unlimited would be real nice. More flexible. 🤷♂️
That's super low. But I would be fine with it if they allow working remotely for a bit while on holidays
We have 21 days of PTO
Recruiter said it was only 17, for all levels. The recruiter is based in Seattle though, is there a difference based on location?
No. It's officially 21, but 4 of those are in December, when the whole company shuts down. So that's why they say 17. However, if you do want to work through December, you can then apply those 4 days (that you worked while nobody else did) elsewhere.
We also have unlimited sick afaik.
The company shuts down between December 25 and January 1, which is an extra 4 days. You do not have to use these days from December 25 to January 1.
