Depends on how you want to define success! Will it become a billion dollar revenue line for them - probably not. Does it help them retain some merchants on their platform by offering them a lending product? Seems more likely.

Lending profits are pretty much set by regulation, since there's so many around underwriting. It's a commodity service with not much economic profit left.
