Stripe vs Amazon SWE internship?
Thoughts? TC is the same at 7.5K + corporate housing. Location in SF.
Stripe all the way! It would not be difficult to get into Amazon again, if at all you want to.
If you are confident in your interview ability, and the Amzn team is not your dream team, take Stripe. 1. You can always land Amazon and they don't give return interns large advantages. Why don't you get a Facebook offer to land 100k? You're starting the TC game on the wrong foot here. 2. SF is best enjoyed in short periods of time and Stripe is covering your living. This both saves you money and having crappy living situation at the same time as living in the city. This is the time to maximize on networking, and enjoying the city.
Not much related to the question, but is this for a 2019 internship (spring/summer) ?
