Hi Blind! I'm deciding between Google and Stripe for a summer internship and would like to hear your thoughts on the matter. I was a Google intern last summer and had a wonderful experience but have always been really interested and curious about Stripe's product and culture. These offers are for Stripe SF and GCP Seattle. Things that I value: - quality of coworkers (good people? good engineers?) - learning opportunities - career growth - WLB (I'm personally alright with 9-6 but no more than that) If there are any Xoogler Stripes out there or ex-Stripe Googlers, I'd love to hear your thoughts :) Thanks!
The 2nd Google internship would mean you might be interview exempt for converting to full time so you might want to consider that as a factor.
Nice username! And yeah, that's definitely a consideration for me and part of why the decision is so hard.
Why does Google need you to complete two internships before you can skip interviews? Everywhere else that I’ve worked only requires one successful internship to get a full time offer.
I’d recommend going with Stripe. You’d get to see how life as an eng is outside googleland so when it comes time to thinking about full time, you have more data points. Also, stripe is banking heavily on remote looking out into the future so if you wish to work out of remote locations, you likely can.
If you’ve already interned at Google I would suggest Stripe. Take a chance and try something new. You might like it more and even if you don’t you won’t be stuck thinking what if
I would take a semester off and do both. Additionally if you do both I would intern at Google first then Stripe

Avoid teams with only Chinese or Indians especially with a Chinese/Indian manager
I think long term you're better off going Google than Stripe for resume differentiation.
Forget as stripe. Doesn’t even compare
Interesting, I thought that Stripe had a pretty good reputation in tech circles. Is this not the case or is Google just >>> Stripe?
