Wondering what the community thinks about these two offers. Assuming similar TC at around ~180 and both offers in Seattle. I would be working in gcp. I want to optimize for hard technical growth as well as which one would open up the most opportunities for me in the future (building larger services/products, possibly product management or an MBA). It seems like gcp is a high growth stage as it is catching up to azure and aws. Stripe seems to also be in hyper growth in terms of new products. I feel like I would be excited to work at either place. How do the two companies differ in engineering reputation? Where will I learn the most as a new graduate? Stripe Pros: good vision, business seems promising, more breadth of experience, faster Cons: risky, lesser known, growing pains as it is already a midsize company, unclear if harder technical challenges Google Pros: better for resume, great culture, stable, better build tools, able to learn better engineering practices? Cons: slow ramp up time for new grads, slower moving in general
Stripe.

you can’t really go wrong in this decision. can you say more about where you want to be in 5 years? what type of company would you rather be at?
Leading development on some large product or service. Can also see myself moving to the more product side of things. Would prefer working on a early/mid stage start up.
So, what did you decide?

Google. No brainer.
Is it just the brand name or what else would be objectively better?
