There seems to be split opinions on collecting SEO traffic for subdomains like blogs/ other pages. Some say Google is sophisticated enough to gather that data. Other say it doesn’t. For example, blog.chipotle.com SEO numbers transfers to chipotle.com or no? Help me figure this out please!!
Subdirectory > subdomain. Some places don’t care enough or can’t make it work and google eventually figures it out. Check out json-ld.
Doesn’t matter. Matters how you architect it. Can give many examples. If it’s just a blog on a small site, subfolder nearly guarantees it will be supported even if forgotten about. If you’ve got a ton of overlapping content targeting different intent, sub domains can work wonders.
But yeah, still need good content to support any of it.
No, the SEO equity doesn’t transfer. A good url and content strategy isn’t easy.
