I have 12 years experience in Digital Marketing with emphasis in PPC and SEO. I have both E-commerce and lead gen experience in both agency and in-house settings. I've been at my current company for 8 years. I'm a Director Level and have pretty much always managed and trained other employees. I would really like to work remotely but my current employer doesn't allow it. What TC should I be aiming for? And what companies are hiring upper management marketing roles and/or significantly higher pay to work remotely? TC currently is $110k
I’m CMO (since just last year with 8yOE) and earn 50% more working fully remote for a European company. I’ve never worked in faang, always for startups (English speaking, international or American and funded which is key).the lowest level mgmt pos I’ve held was director. There’s a ton of remote work resources and some of them will list comp so you can et a sense for where the market is... I’ve been off since 17. Hope that’s helpful 🤷♀️

Your comp seems on the low end and it’s probably because you toughed it out in the same place for 8 years instead of moving around as you gained more skills. Go work in house for a bigger org and you’ll get way more money, but you might find a lot of places not willing to shell out for remote marketers who are management level.
Don't get me wrong, I love where I work and the owners, and there are some unique perks. We'll see how my next annual review goes and then TBD. I'm ready to step up to a CMO or VP Marketing role.
