Got a call from Microsoft for Support Engineering Manager position for Azure. I don’t have Azure on my resume, but do have AWS. Also, this position is people management, I don’t have any people management experience. What to expect?
Support engineering manager is not a technical role as such, technical know how is a plus. It's a people manager role and customer management.
I'm not sure about these positions I assume they are analagous to the ones in CSS. Those are exceptionally low key. They do require people management experience but not much from a technical perspective.
Yes the position is in CSS
Thank you for your guidance
Stay away! CSS is a nightmare. They seem to always be hiring like crazy while simultaneously laying off like crazy. It's a matter of time until PGs own support end to end anyways (as they should)
Oh no! What’s PG?
Product group. CSS (support) is not in the same org as engineering.
