Switching companies during green card process (I-485)

I’m currently on H1-B, undergoing PERM (should be complete in the next month) and plan on expediting I-140 for the green card.

I’ve read that the I-485 takes around 1.5 years to be processed and for me to have my green card in hand (I’m lucky - priority date is current).

Here’s the issue - I don’t like my job and can’t stand the thought of staying at the same company for another 1.5 years. Is there any possibility of me leaving the company and not having to repeat the 3 year long green card filing process? If leaving the company isn’t an option, are there any complications with switching teams/locations?
