Hi, I have around 11 year of experience in TCS and want to switch to companies like Microsoft/Google. I have strong technical background and am quite good at coding, but will organisations like Microsoft/Google will even consider my profile for onsite interview call ?
Do you have any proof to claim this about the OP? Effin company-ist.
Yes. I know the kind of people stay in TCS for a decade.
I had to climb this ladder in the past. Basically, I had to work in some less prominent companies (Nokia, Nvidia) and then work on my resume to deemphasize my âpre-Silicon Valleyâ experience. Took me 3 years to get hired at Google. It gets much easier afterwards- you resume will get a preferred treatment.
How did you "work on your resume to de emphasize your pre silicon valley experience"? What did you do in those 3 years, at work and outside, to get hired at Google?
I really elaborated what I did at US companies (wrote detailed projects descriptions, etc) and my open-source work. For the past experience it is like company name year-year đ
I was with tcs for 7.5 yrs and then moved to slalom . I was able to clear Google interview few months back. All the best!
It is certainly possible, but to pass through the screening stage you need to have done some decent projects, have a high codeforces/codechef rating or a decent github profile or Graduated from a top top college. Any one would help, and are certainly possible. Just being in TCS for 11 years wont do, especially in a consulting company with a extremely high employee count and bad đ”. Or you could try going to work at an intermediate level product based company( like amazon, Microsoft), not as good as google , the work there may be interesting enough for google to notice.
What company you are at doesnât have as much importance compared to what you know and how you do on the interviews. Definitely worth a shot.
I have already stared preparation but have fear that I might not even get the initial screening call !!! Can you please suggest some practice companies that have interview process similar to Microsoft.
That's what you feel.. you never tried
