My estranged wife (now in India) is threating me with false criminal charges (dowry/domestic violence) in India, as I have refused to pay her an unfair high alimony to for a mutual consent divorce. Marriage was 10 months long. Married in India.
Will her false allegations and criminal proceedings (initiated in India) have any issues towards my US employment? I am on L1 visa, employed with Amazon.
Need help from folks who’ve been in similar situation.

It may cause issues in your next visa stamping or passport renewal because there is a background check in India for it.
I think your wife or her lawyers know this, that's why stacking up charges against you to cause problems with your visa so that you bend and pay them off quickly
