Had FB onsite 3 weeks back, 2 coding, 1 behavioural, 1 System design and 1 ML design. Got a mail for follow up System design after some review. What to make out of this? What are my chances? Any help would be great? YOE : 12
They prob didnt get enough signal from the interview (could be the question was not appropriate for your background, the interviewer screwed up, etc). Happened to me and got an offer after the follow up one. Good luck!
I had the same happen, although with one of the coding rounds. Asked to repeat, did well, got offer. Hey, if you are still there are they still using the goofy codenames for the difference rounds?
got same, ended in getting offer, just make sure your do quantitative analysis and explain reasoning at each step of design
They probably are looking for a reason to give offer, try to nail the follow up interview in whatever area you think you were weaker on the 1st time around.
Can you share about ML design?
Happened to me, said all feedback was good and second design question helps to submit for a higher level (so, basically, calibration)
Happened to me last year and didn't get the offer after follow-up. But this year passed the onsite first go. I was probably too vague in my failed rounds
Thanks. I will try to work on feedback comments for design round and hope to do good
Got rejected after the follow up. The biggest obstacle I faced in the follow up was doing System Design round through VC. It was really tough to communicate and discuss without a Whiteboard.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
You’re still in the game, not rejected.
