Hello, I have some upcoming phone screens with various FAANG and am in the process of preparation. For system design interviews, I have gone through Grokking and will now go through Designing Data-Intensive Applications. Then, I plan to do some mocks. Is this enough to ace interviews? Must also add I've never really designed a system before during my internships so this is all new to me.
Watch Gaurav Sen. So I'm a new grad, just finished my onsite (virtual) with Amazon, had final with VMware (for another team) and both the system designs were more of a discussion and basic coding (I.e build a class)
Go and design some systems for a few years. Most importantly learn from some mistakes first hand.
No it's not enough to ace the interviews. They don't ask system design questions to new grads. You should had spend that time leetcoding instead.
That's false. I had system designs
