200 is too small a number to be in the news. There will be room for other news when Bernie and Trump put an end to their verbal diarrhea and especially Bernie with his misogynist comments and his squad.
@PM626 just happened this am. Looks like they were all from the Metro side. People with 15 years with the company told in a call of 10 min they were gone.
Damn that sucks. But I guess everytime a merger goes through there is bound to have some redundant roles to be eliminated. Best of luck to the people impacted on their search.
They laid off hundreds of contractors on the first week of Q4. My building has been a ghost town since october. I think they’re trying to recoup investment in merge that has been impacted by delays of lawsuits and whatnot. I think they started with contractors to avoid reporting obligations.
@shadow969 interesting. Yeah they will be "employed" until 3/31
That’s how usually all the layoffs work, at least the ones that I have seen in front of my eyes.
Where?
@lijiye nationwide pretty much all the people who fell under financial controls
A guy at my gym workd there and left it within a quarter of joining after seeing the POS talent who have managed to climb very high.
Very shocked to hear this news. I worked at TMUS briefly. With the merger now approved TMUS will soon become one of the most powerful companies in the world. I am expecting them to give their employees massive raises as a result of this merger. But to see them layoff people is very strange.
Massive raises 🤣 Welcome to Corporate America!
I was just thinking it would be the right thing to do in order to celebrate T-Mobile’s new place among the top companies out there. Giving everyone massive raises instead of announcing layoffs would go a long way to helping everyone out. Let’s see what happens.
Any layoffs pending for P&T group? With day 0 over, they absorbed sprint headcount... should we be concerned the axe is coming down?
Yes, you should be by now. This was posted in April. We are in September now. Do you still have your job? Just curious. I suspect 3/5 will lose their job. They will do it by a different way other than just downsizing. I can’t say how because of a non-disclosure agreement. But do you still have your job?
Whoa. Did this just happen? I dont see it on the news yet, arent they obligated to report layoffs at this scale?
They can let the affected know now and can report the lay-off later. Because technically the affected people could be put on “leave” until the effective layoff date.
I see. Learning something new everyday. Well best of luck to the people impacted on their search.
