New to Blind. Is link sharing allowed? I just wanted to share this news article - https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2020/02/t-mobile-conducts-layoffs-as-it-prepares-to-complete-sprint-merger/ #layoffs #merger
Wow I must have lived under a rock. I thought regulators were trying to stop it due to market concentration
I'm glad I left before it happened. Saw the writing on the wall.
Why? You missed out on severance lol
Lol

Very concerned that the new T-Mobile is doing this. I would have expected them to give all their employees massive raises in order to celebrate their new position as one of the top companies in the country. Massive raises would go a long way to helping people out instead of laying people off.
It's more about raises for CEO, not regular employees.
Why would you need two heads of HR? Two legal counsel? Two accounting teams? Layoffs follow most mergers.
I think all isp/carriers are doing this. I feel like the opportunity to grow saturated. Most of the boom of last decade was b/c of advent of cell phones. Now everyone has one.
Nahh, we don't have layoffs. In both att and TMo layoffs are results of M&A. That's the reason to have it in the first place, having same amount of ppl bringing in more money. In vz you will have to shit on the ceo's desk to get fired and even then I wouldn't be too sure.
Verizon might have smthng in 2021 i guess
