Just received an email from chase about tmobile data breach. My SSN and drivers license number are leaked. First of all congrats to t-mobile security team. What should I(we) do?
Freeze all credit reports.
Any recommendations for the identity service?
I am using intuit identity protection service ,I just got notification that my identity information exposed through t-mobile data breach ,it sounds like T-mobile breach exposed millions of users identify, three law suit already filed against T-mobile .
You are not alone ,40million T-mobile post paid users account leaked on last year August , did you notice any unusual activity on your credit report in last 4 months ?
no not yet. But it doesnt feel safe to know that someone has you ssn and drivers licence number. I guess I can change my drivers licence but not sure what to do with the ssn. Probably buying a protection service would help if they allow you to freeze your credit history as mentioned below.
If your data leaked because of the T-mobile data breach, then they will offer you a protection service. But, not sure my chase contacted you and now.
T-Mobile is Shiite company where private sensitive data is accessible by third party contractors They can run simple report to get all SSNS
All companies have contractors, google, facebook and etc… and they work in all kind of domains, being a contractor does not mean you are a thief or not loyal.
My ssn is leaked by t-mobile too
I got the message from t-mobile last year that my info was breached. With a Discover free monitoring they said my SSN was found on the dark web … wtf , was an AT&T user for a long time and now I regret switching to T-Mobile .
Get an identity protection service.
