Please give your opinions of working T-mobile generally, and what it's like for PMs there. I'll be there soon!
40% increase. Eastside location. Wlb
Wow. How lowballed were you at Amazon ? T mobile has bad stocks how did it match your stocks at Amazon?
I was right in the middle of the band at Amazon. I literally just asked for how much money it would take to make the change when the recruiter first called, and then once they made the offer I asked for 20% more.
Why would you leave faang for t mob?
See above
Is there no one from t-mobile here?
Aggressive timelines the norm like any other!! Less process enabled.
Thanks for the reply! Can you tell me more about the aggressive timelines? For example?
I’m an engineer @ TMUS. So, I can’t comment. But - I’m curious as I’m trying migrate over to product management. However I disagree with the process comment above. Even from my end we use a whole host of ITIL based processes to accomplish projects and work in general.
One good sign is that so few t-mobile folks post here. This seems to be where people go to complain. Little to complain about, no reason to come here
My main issue with TMobile is the lack of follow through as projects never got finished. They move fast to constantly fight the other carriers and lose themselves 15x on a straight ass road while trying to. Spending hundreds of thousands on 3rd party vendors, half the time working on the same shit as someone else. The customer service call centers are nice and sales store people are well trained. I encouraged all PM's there to get out and talk to those sales people and see the real use cases not the desk created versions that so often got created. The WFH policy is nice - parking sucks. In the end, depends on the team.
Thanks for the reply! Are you saying that the PMs don't talk much to the end customers? Also please do tell me more about the wfh policy.
WFH varies depending on the team but from what I’ve experienced it’s a nice balance of splitting a day between the office and home but then also WFH if you don’t have any necessary in person meetings.
OP , any update on your experience? I have an upcoming PM interview.
Was t mobile able to match your compensation ?
