Wowโ€”itโ€™s depressing. Feels low energy and quiet compared to where I came from

Looks like 1/3 of the shops along University Ave are closed, and Stanford Shopping Center is a ๐Ÿ‘ป town.

I love the Bay Area; I hope this is the bottom

      I attended high school in Taipei and miss it dearly! Asia is way ahead of our times. I daydream about going back every other day lol I hate it here in the bay. Itโ€™s a depressing sink or swim rat race out here and literally! Nothing to see except for tents and broken infrastructure (frustrating as I donโ€™t know where all my taxes are going). Itโ€™s pulling teeth just to come up with a place to go on the weekends thatโ€™s not the typical trip to Westfield valley fair. Itโ€™s a ghost town out here imo. Interesting you bring up houston - Iโ€™ve thought of moving to San Antonio or Dallas once I secure a remote job but Iโ€™ll check out Houston. Miami is on my list too as well as Atlanta. Keep me posted on where youโ€™re headed next! Love the insight

      Interesting perspectives, thanks Google and Workday! As someone who's never been to the bay, I'm in awe of the number of outdoors options you have within a short drive, all the open space preserves, parks, beaches etc. Maybe if you're into city nightlife it's not the best place for you but if you're into hiking, biking etc. it looks pretty good at least on paper. And you've got the mountains a 4-5 hour drive away (Tahoe, Sequoia NP).

    Itโ€™s still vibrant, hit up Santana row or Castro, lots of people out and about, as much as pre Covid no different. Itโ€™s nice
