TC Staff SWE in Hedge Funds
every time I hear about hedge funds I hear crazy salaries. E.g. Staff SWE at 600-800k while in big tech would be 300-450k TC But I still dont know if they are talking about quant engineers and not software engineers. Does anyone have some data around these? eg two sigma, jump trading, bridgewater, or any other are there also possibilities for growth once in?

Interested to know about Two Sigma as I have heard they pay more than faang but not significantly more. Have heard insane salaries about Jump.

Remember that these HFs are significantly riskier than say Google. HFs are the only place where I've seen entire teams being let go.
