Would you break down 500k? I'm curious how is the comp structure for sales, marketing.

~300k base+bonus. ~200k rsu’s. Stock has appreciated well with growth and refreshers

This is highly possible but you would have a much better chance at non-tech firms that are not popular brand names.

Any examples?

Yea, I didn’t realize this either. Do you mean companies like Bechtel? Would love to hear more.

You have a role that encompasses marketing, sales and operations? I’d like to see the job title for that. Anyways, you’re looking at director+ levels at fang for 700k+ comp in those areas (except sales. You can make that below director level in sales if you’re good)

Thx. Not at same time, but have experience in all three

OP, sounds like you have an awesome role. Could you share where someone would need to get to to reach your current TC? Sr Mgr at a FAANG / top tier company like SFDC? Is there a lot of analysis in your role, or more architecture? Impressed.

I’m a second line manager (manager of managers). I think most folks at my level 1) know how to work x-functionally and build relationships with C-level stakeholders, 2) have good business acumen and understanding of numbers and growth levers, 3) know the company and product, 4) are good presenters and can bring a team along on the journey, 5) can hire and attract top talent (personal brand building and networking) I started my career in strategy & ops so the business acumen and numbers came easily. I’ve focused on developing the other facets of being a leader, which are more important as you get more senior

Also finding a manager who also acts as a champion and can help you develop your skills and find opportunities to keep growing
