I am being offered a role of Sr. Engineer(SSD Testing) at SSI with a TC of $165k base being at $135k and Sign on bonus of $30k to be evenly distributed in 3 years. How much can I negotiate on this and what should be my counter?
How % bonus? Samsung does not do stocks, so only added pay you have on top of base is cash bonus.
I think that’s variable but i was told it is 15% of base.

Around 5yrs. Never heard of anyone offering retention. Is that something to be expected?
You can negotiate a cash retention of 15k each for 2nd year and 3rd year .... that's the norm at SARC
