Ok Blinders (is that the term?) Advice & referral sought, snark and derision also welome (hey its Blind)

I have had an eclectic working life. From working class single parent family, not focused after college, most of it doing non career jobs, generally contract, not in tech, but they were managementish roles.

6 years ago I was fustrated with a segment in industry and I thought it could better. So I cofounded and built a startup. Was accepted into an accelerator got a tiny amount of money. Worked on it for a few years, built something interesting but was not able to make it a biz.

I then went on to a few other roles, helped a startup, traveled for a long while. Now I arrived to the Bay Area and am 40 (so very old for tech). General understanding of different areas, self taught. Not a programmer (FizzBuzz? Sure, after that not so much) but can hustle, convey value of a product in terms people understand, make sure people and trains run on time, and business keeps on track. No weird issues/history.

Motivated to do a deap dive and help a team create value. Looking for Product/project, marketing/sales/advocate roles.

No ivy league/known tech company on resume so trying to get around ATS algorithms and find advice, and referrals here. Thanks for taking time from your Leet code practice to read.

Oh, and of course...

Tomorrow's TC???

    Two options:
    1. Work with a contracting company (Kelly, Adecco etc) to get a contract role at a company and then try to convert to FT.
    2. Take some classes at a boot camp and use that experience to try to get a product or marketing role..

      OP
I am trying to avoid contracting companies, dont like the idea of 3rd party taking a cut and lowering the $ I get. Thst being said, I guess it might be a necessary evil. Will look into it. Thanks for the input
