PayPal is censoring Russian collecting donations for Russian political prisoners, PayPal employees, please help!
Looking for PayPal employees!
My fellow comrade, Russian democratic opposition political activist and prisoner of conscience in the past Vladimir Akimenkov, is doing hard and ungrateful labor - he collects donations on his PayPal account and buys food and cigarettes for current political prisoners of Russia. It’s titanic endeavor - in current climate virtually no one really does it Russia, or if they do, they do it to “theirs” political prisoners, Vladimir does not discriminate and helps all political prisoners. He is basically go to person in Russian opposition: obviously in situation when merely helping out political prisoners endanger yourself, no credible organization wants/can do that, and Vladimirs honesty and integrity became known: he processed probably a million dollar of donations in a decade, and he publicly accounted for every single pack of cigarettes, warm socks, tea, candy and toothbrush he bought. Many political prisoners of Russia can call Vladimir their friend. Help from freedom is so important.
So, long story short, even tho Vladimir couldn’t care less about Russian “law enforcement” that routinely harasses him and pressuring to stop his activity, suddenly few weeks ago his account on PayPal was blocked by PayPal. Russian PayPal support says “we found that your customers sent you money and marked payments for your services as for “friends and family”, so we blocked your account”. He tried to explain to them that he has no services or payments, he purely using PayPal to accept donations for political prisoners. They don’t care.
If anyone knows anyone who works for PayPal, please forward this post to them. Let’s help political prisoners in Russia to get their warm socks and cigarettes.
