I am in a team match phase for more than a month, my recruiter has asked to forward any roles of interest to me. Can I apply for TPM roles if I originally passed onesite for SWE mgmt L6 / L7 position?

Different ladder. I don’t think so.
Well, I am in the PgM team match phase since Jan 20, and I know others on blind waiting since May 2019. Take a hint
Why does Google do this? Don't they send your resume to specific teams and hiring managers to see if they have any interest in hiring you? Keeping candidates in such limbo is just cruel
As per my recruiter, they do send out a resume but never share any updates! Would any googler like to share their opinion?
For real, when I find out about this, I was shocked.
OP, do you mind asking how was the interview? Like phone screen and onsite? How much of it coding, design, and project/program management? Any insights will be appreciated
No coding, 2 system design, 2 tech leadership, 1 people mgmt No phone screen, was reached out by recruiter and he scheduled onsite
Gotcha, thanks OP. What was the difficulty level of system design ? And are you currently a manager and for how long? It's okay if you can't answer all
Any update folks ?
Has anyone got matched since Nov ?
I got matched in Dec and started in jan.
How long did you wait? Are you SDE?
Any one got matched ?
Nope 🙅
Well i got call from my recruiter that no more positions available for team match so closing my application ...The ones i had team match got filled with internal candidates ? What is the point of interviewing external candidates and going through fit calls ...not all of them but even few which HM is looking for what ? god knows ...
I am thinking L6
You passed onsite for swe and want to get into tpm? Why would you do that? Strongly recommend sticking to swe roles, especially in uncertain economy.
Yes, I understand but I got only one fit call in last month. Secondly, most of the openings on Google are for program manager.
