Got "cold called" by a Google recruiter on LinkedIn and agreed to interview.. I'm in a devops/engineering manager role now that's fairly hands on 50% of the time. They swear TPM at Google is a very technical role, but I'm a little suspect. Any insider insight?
Technical program manager role is not that technical at all. I have a few friends who do it. It seems like being a project manager for infrastructure projects like DevOps, security and data engineering.
