Hi
I am new to open a brokerage account within my 401k savings plan in Fidelity.

Can someone guide me if
1. I will getting the same employer match I was getting before if I open a self directed brokerage account?

2. How much money money can I move around? Are there any limits?

3. If my investments are automatic to the brokerage account, will I get a Employer match for that??

4. What are some good target date funds that I can invest through the brokerage account?

I think there is usually a minimum amount say 2.5k in 401k to open brokeragelink. You can transfer $ upto max$ in your 401k to brokerage.

But after doing so, say my contribution stays 10%, will I still be getting the employer match? Opening a brokerage doesnt affect employer match right??

No it doesn’t and you can invest everything. Say you contributed 100$ and employer contributed 10$, then your portfolio on average gained 100% to make it 220$. then you leave your employer before vest. you will get all minus 20$. Your plan could have different rules though

All of this info should be in your 401(k)'s summary plan description. It's going to vary between employers.

As for target date funds, just pick one with a minimal expense ratio.
