This is for my friend since she is not employed and does not have a work email.

She got a verbal offer from a reputed media company for Sr. engineer position. They said they will come back with a formal offer in a few days. A
A few days later, the hiring manager called her to ask how long ago she had left her job and she said 1.5 years ago, post maternity to stay home with her new born.
They started ghosting her after that ans said they are working on the package and in the responded almost a week later that they retracting the offer because they have head count discrepancy.
What should she do? Any suggestions?

Here is a perfect opportunity. DM me for referral.
Amazon is running rekindle 2.0 programme, where we specially hire women who have had a career break of at least one year.

I am not aware of any condition as such, I'd recommend that apply anyway and let the recruiter come back and clarify on this.

Terrible advice.. dont waste money on legal fees as there is nothing legally binding you and the company.

    • Usually when you sue someone, the lawyer takes a percentage, no fees. So thereโ€™s no risk for you to lawyer up. If your case isnโ€™t winnable the lawyer will just not take your case (Iโ€™ve been through this process before)

Iโ€™ve had a moronic manager question why there was a one year gap in my resume from 20 years ago. It was a typo and I just kept looking. Some people have no clue
