Hello again Blind! Sorry again for another long post.

Long story short, I passed the onsite for Twitch in December, but they did not have any positions available for the team I interviewed with to give me a job offer. They said they'd keep my profile and let me know when they have any updates. Recently, I saw that the team I interviewed for opened up the position I originally passed the onsite for on their job board, and my recruiter reached out stating they're going to talk with the hiring manager for the team to get me an offer after reading through my onsite results. However, it's been more than two weeks without an update, and I've sent an email asking for one, but no one has responded. I'm unsure what else to do in regards to getting an update on my status.

Anyways, thanks for reading this post!

From my experience recruiters can keep you hanging unless you have a timeline or a counter offer that would push them to make a decision. This especially happens when they have multiple candidates who cleared the on-site.

Normally, this would be the case, but I assumed since the posting reopened and I cleared the onsite previously, I'd be on a higher priority to receive an offer now. I guess not.

    • Yes it is common. Half of recruiters don't follow up

Hmm, I thought I'd at least hear back since the recruiter explicitly contact me and mentioned they were going to talk to the hiring manager.

Could you give an overview of the on-site?
