What is something that separates Junior MLE/ Applied Scientist ? What are some key things that seniors are good at ? How do I know if I am good enough to try for senior position (except the YOE) ?

TC: 19
YOE: 1.5

When asked about what is the hardest part of a ml problem, seniors always answer data.

Didn't understand your point. Is it how to get the annotated data ? Or how to use data (feature selection etc) ? or smth else ?

What separates a senior from junior applied scientist? I’ve always seen it as the area they focus on/ area they consider crucial. When confronted with a new ml problem, new grads seemingly think of what is the best algorithm out there to solve the problem. But more experience folks always think about data.

How to prepare for these rounds? Unlike SDE, there are no resources for ML interview questions.
