Actually it’s the other way around - employers prefer folks on H1B because of their limited mobility, tend to stick around & put up with shit more than someone with GC/citizenship.
Only startups that don’t have the money to spend $$k on paper work don’t hire visa folks

      Absolutely incorrect.
Roughly 80% of my interviews end when the recruiter hears I need an h1b transfer. This used to be 99% when I needed an h1b for the first time (when I was on OPT)

Why do you think people on H1B tend to stick around and put up with shit?
Because it is 20x more difficult for us to find a new job

True that. The disparity is wide unless you go to tier 1 companies. The best companies that take care of folks on visas are MSFT, and G. Try to crack MSFT if you can.

Thank You. I do have a GC. So was asking to see if I get some bargaining power for this Tier 2 company during my negotiation. Oh def MSFT, Faang will be great to work for, however right now I just have to board my bus and resume my career to start here.

Correct. Now recruiters feel so relieved that I have I-140 approved so they do not have headache. The only problem is that my manager and his manager are no longer in the new company I joined so I have a fresh start.
