Was offered a role as Sr UI Engineer at Apple (this is what my offer letter says) but I’ll be coming in at ICT3.
My offer details are as followed
- 165k base (was originally offered 173 but recruiter told me that the finance department said it was way outside the ICT3 band so they had to lower the base)
- 250k in RSUs
- 65K signing bonus (was originally 50k but was upped to 65 for decrease in base)
I was also told I’d be on the fast track to ICT4 (around next year or so)
Wanted to ask if y’all thought this was a good offer? I had an L5 offer for Front End Engineer at Amazon which was as followed
- 179k Base
- 248,418 RSUs
- 107 + 89 signing bonus)
But I actually declined Amazon before doing any sort of real negotiation with Apple, should I have asked Apple for more?
By the time I was in the spirit to negotiate for me my friends were telling me not to negotiating if I’m not
Willing to walk away and I sure as hell wasn’t lol (Apple was on the list of companies I wanted an offer from this year).
The main reason why I chose Apple was WLB and the refreshers but still kind of salty about being senior in title but not necessarily in salary. (I am very grateful btw). Just kinda regretting not asking for more RSUs or signing bonus …. 🥺
I have about 4 years and 8 months experience
