I had a conversation with Recruiter and she told me that in order to proceed further she needed what is my expected TC. Levels, paysa, and Glassdoor are showing very different numbers. What can I tell her?
These days the numbers have gone up .. if your interview goes well, you can get 400k I guess.
With competing offers you can get 400-430k in Seattle. So I’d say 450k is possible in CA

And this is a significant reason why many senior people are leaving. There's a big discrepancy between pay of long-term people and new hires.
Another point of contention is the band for a lead does differ from software and other positions, if you can get your manager or a confidant in management to get you your amount of penetration in your salary band?
So is 400k a valid ask for bay area?
Expected TC= Your current TC + 40%. For expected level ask for one level above to your current level
