If you’re in Azure/Windows, you will find the phone interview and loops quite easy. As an ex-softie, the only thing I will say to Microsofties and stress on is, don’t be an arrogant jerk in the interviews.
Usually, I am being perceived as humble so being arrogant or jerk is ruled out :) Could you share more details around questions? Leetcode style? Easy/Medium/Hard? System design? Distributed system or object oriented design?
Depends entirely on the interviewer and team
I've conducted over 50 phone screens for Tableau. Some screeners don't do much more than make sure you have a pulse (reverse a string or whatever). Not everyone even asks you to write code. Others will make you work harder, although mostly the screen is just trying to weed out folks that would obviously fail the on-site loop. Usually it's a bonus if you have actually tried Tableau and have something insightful to say about it.
Thanks for the inputs, appreciate it! How about onsite? What are the expectations there?
@OP How did it go? I'm interviewing for a different role this week. Any insights would be appreciated.
Recently interviewed with them, what profile?
Senior engineer.
I am doing for security role, so it would be different from normal coding interviews
