Posting for a friend. He recently interviewed for a SWE position for Tableau in PAO. His offer is the following: $165k base $74k RSUs over 4 years 10% cash bonus $40k signing he's got 3.5 YOE Is there any room to negotiate for more? He originally interviewed for a Sr. SWE position but was downleveled
So 74K total in 4 yrs?
Yeah, so ~18k per year. Sorry for the mix up
Welcome to Salesforce. RSU grant has significantly dropped.
Seems like the type of offers give out changed a lot then
Tableau is know to give at least 200-300k for 3.5 yoe. Rsu seems low
That was prior to the acquisition. We're now giving out Salesforce offers.
I mean my salesforce offer for 5 yoe was 250k rsu which is now worth 300k
Sounds low but idk what the post Salesforce offers look like. The signing bonus is interesting. I don’t remember hearing people getting signing bonuses before. A couple years ago that would have been like 120k salary and 5k RSUs over 4 years 10% bonus. Stock price would have been 85 a share +/- so the total looks on par. I’m out of the loop.
