Dont do it just wait for l6. Startups suck
Amazon was a startup some day
You could try if you dont have visa issues.
No visa issues
There is not much formal management stuff you will do at startup You will end up working as a hands on SDE Join the startup if you are passionate about the product/service
I absolutely donโt mind that as long as I am getting mgmt experience and a title to take
Go with clear understanding of what you will get and what you will not get to do there. My guess is that You will be able to demonstrate: Ownership Bias for action Dealing with ambiguity Dive Deep Delivering Results You may not be able to experience and demonstrate: Hire and Develop (promote people, manage poor performers, career development, mentoring) Customer Obsession Think Big Insist on the highest standards Cross functional collaboration Structured Project Management
Management experience at a startup does not count for much at a larger company. I have seen this first hand. Just focus on becoming a manager at a larger company.
