Got an offer for an SE1 role in Seattle. Public company, mid size. Debating whether the offer is too good to pass up. One red flag is that they're claiming I have 72hrs to accept (which is bs) I currently have a phone screen with Google planned for Sept, and was planning on interviewing with FAANG/unicorns then as well. Edit: signed the offer, still planning on interviewing with at least Google if not rest of top companies, depending how I like the new role Initial Offer details: - 150k TC - 26 days pto - standard medical coverage - stricter wfh policy - potentially exciting work scaling up prototype - 5% 401k match Final Offer details: - 175k TC - 140k base - 81.2k / 4 yr rsu, 25% per yr - 10% salary target annual bonus - same benefits as initial Me: - 116k TC - 106 base, 10% target bonus (likely decreasing next yr) - 22 days pto - standard medical covg - lax wfh policy and hours - not exciting work - 4% 401k match - 1.5 YOE
Phone screen for Google in September, wtf? How long do you really need to prep lmao.
Idk mixture of having only 1-2hrs a day to study and being bad at leetcode.
Yeah, you and I both know that you could trim some fat off your schedule and do a solid 3 hours of studying every day, and being bad at leetcode isn't even an excuse. Stop being lazy bruh.
Take the offer and continue interviewing if you are not truely happy.
Take offer and continue interviewing.
If you start your process with Google in September, you will likely end up joining in Jan/Feb 2020. Why not move and work at the new company for 10 months?
I've decided to take the offer, updated post with deets

150 is still 30% bump and you can continue with prep and leave in few months if you get an offer.
