Taking time off for onsites while working as a contractor

I work at a rigid Indian consulting company and travel every week Mon-Fri to my client location in the US (also live in the US and am American, but my home is in a different state). I usually need to request vacation 3-4 weeks in advance. I've been interviewing elsewhere. Any thoughts on how I might schedule onsites near term in home location? I've asked if I could do Skype, but maybe other Indian contractors have dealt with this.

Is your company completely inflexible on personal days? Just say you require a day off, for personal reasons. Maybe it’s to deal with a car, a sick relative, or an interview but it’s none of their business.

It'd require rescheduling a flight that has already been booked, which might then require another set of approvals. Project is over budget so that means it might need a very senior approval at my firm *again*. I'm going to try anyway

Tell them you have stomach issues and can’t make it. Being shitty as they are, you will be quizzed. Your reply is “explosive diarrhea”. Nobody would talk more.

If they ask for a proof, all you need to sacrifice is a blender.
