Going to start the interview process for Project Manager, Product Data Operations next week.
When I've interviewed at FB in the past, the recruiter has brought up comp right in the first call. I want to be prepared so I don't lowball myself.
What should I be aiming for in base/stock/bonus?
TC: $77,250

4 years... your TC could probably be in 100 - 125k range. They honestly don't care what your current TC is unless it's exponentially higher than what they're willing to offer and they want you desperately. Meta market data is really good.
Also depends on your location. Large metros get more comp.
I appreciate the insights.
I was told by the recruiter that there was no range for the position (uh ok).
Eventually, they started with:
- $120k base
- $55k equity, no cliff, if I understood correctly, the money is able to be accessed without waiting a year
- 15% annual bonus
I countered with:
- $130k base, which they were fine with, and they said it would be a problem if I was asking for a $30k increase. So max might be a $20-25k increase?
- $60 to $70k equity which they were fine with
- just didn't negotiate on bonus (which I'm not sure if that's even negotiable).
