“Target comp range”

I was asked to reply to a recruiter at AWS with a target comp range (among other questions I find easy to answer)

This one seems tricky.

I know L5 offers are going up to 300k.

It feels like a trap though, not sure how but I don’t want to provide the range.

Should I provide it? Or say something else?
