Anyone know how to report tax to IRS related to crypto transaction?
bitcoin.tax covers it and will make TurboTax files for you.
Actually I’m running it on 2018 and it’s totally doing my GDAX trades wrong… well I got a year to fix it!
I have literally heard a shit tons of podcasts about how you should and should not do this. My takeaway: skip reporting unless you cashed out of your holdings in 2017
How are you going to deal with that in the future when you decide to cash out and your account information doesn't align with previous tax reports?
If you didn’t sell there’s nothing to report though.
This is not yet live but thanks for link
I heard they are helping to calculate for early access users... Give it a try
It's live now and you can calculate and download tax forms for just $0.99

Checked but it differentiates between gdax and coinbase .. even coins sent from coinbase to gdax is considered as new transaction. I have a very few sells for year 2017 and rest of my coins are on hold. I could not find same option in gdax .
