Is it necessary to attach your resume immediately when reaching out to recruiters on LinkedIn? Or will they naturally ask for it if they are interested?

Thank you!

  • Not attaching resume is like texting someone "hi" and stop at that.

Attach it. You have nothing to lose it. Hoping they ask if adding an unnecessary step. I’ll usually say “I applied online but I’ve attached my resume for reference”.

Is it just me or LinkedIn is literally useless nowdays? I've applied and reached out to people for some positions that I thought were interesting and got 0 feedback.

Unfortunately it's hard to play numbers game when there's like 3 jobs that I'd like to try out total.

Yeah it’s understandable. The right job is few and far in between. Maybe instead of recruiters, LinkedIn message the individuals of the actual team. If you can find the hiring manager or another team member, just say you saw the post and would love to speak on the responsibilities of the role. Include your resume so they know you’re qualified.
