Hi! Just looking for support.
Kinda feel burnt out. Working on a pretty large project that I am passionate towards during the weekdays. And then straight go to taking care of house and kids in weekend. It is Sunday evening and I am sitting in the car to just be able to breathe alone for few mins. My husband is the best. He helps out a lot but still feel exhausted. We have no family near by and have to manage everything all by ourselves.

How do you moms in tech handle work and fam?

Are you delegating and outsourcing enough? At the risk of feeling somewhat disconnected from your family/house, you might need to increase what you give up on this front. Choose and focus on the value of quality time over quantity.

Btw, I’m also a female, mother, and wife with many years of experience working at Amazon so feel free to DM me if you’d like to chat.

Husband shouldn't be "helping out", he should be an equal partner. Same goes for a wife btw. One way to make this work is to sit down and actually make a schedule. For example, one parent responsible for dinner/bedtime on Wednesday 100%, the other gets to do something for themselves. On Thursday the roles switch. Post this on the fridge. Sounds cheesy but it works.

Outsource everything. We have a cook come over and it’s been a game changer.

So yours is broken and you can’t get it fixed or…? So confused why you’re not using it if it’s consuming so much of your time.

The expectation in North America to balance work and family and leisure is impossible imo.

So don't be hard on yourself. The system is fucked.

Paid help helps a lot. I have Kids and busy work. Have maid who comes every week and does the work. Take time out of your schedule to exercise. Your body will thank you later.
