I may have to move to Dallas for personal reasons, and I admit that I don't know much about the market for software engineering at Dallas. Looking for jobs on LinkedIn suggests that most of the jobs are either with consulting firms, or banks. I apologise if I come across as condescending, but I don't know the job market well enough. I would sincerely appreciate if any Dallas based professionals can guide me as to whether there are any companies that are hiring in Dallas right now. Thanks
There is a large SAP office in Plano, right outside of Dallas.
Don’t move
Can you tell me why you recommend that?
It's all banking, insurance, front end and back end development. There are some semiconductor companies like Texas Instruments, Maxim, Qorvo, and Samsung that MIGHT offer embedded software opportunities.
Theres a reason tons and tons of companies are moving HQ from west coast to Dallas. Yall commifornians are are messing with Texas too much
Amazon has a small office in Dallas.
Theres 2400 people there and 4 or 5 floors. I wouldnt call that small.
But primarily consulting and premium support. There are some SDE roles but not many.
Capital One ! It’s a bank but good with tech , DM me if you need any specific details .
Didn't they have layoffs there?
Not this year in Plano , there were some in Richmond . Auto Loans is doing really good and they have more than 100 full time tech recs open right now I don’t think layoffs need to be a worry .
Negotiate remote possibility with eBay.
I am a contractor at eBay, not a full time employee.
Sam's club has office in there and they are hiring
Is that different from Walmart Labs?
Yeah! They work as separate BUs.
Don't move for the girl bro. Not worth it
More like a fiancee.
Still not too late
