I’m on the Ops side of the fintech house and got in at the right time with my current company, so I’ll be doing okay post IPO hopefully, even in the current market. Even so, I’ve found tracking my options against the market to be a level of stress I don’t want in my next role. Aside from being imaginary money until sold, I feel like high value options can hold you hostage in terms of career growth. So, what are some tech/fintech companies where cash is king, and which have some sort of ops component? Outside of comp I probably value culture and interesting work (ie. plenty of things to build) the most. Base $160k TC $410k YOE 6 M1 #tech #fintech #operations #productops
I know this post is old What kind of ops role are you looking for?
Honestly anything with interesting things to build/support, or which are in a hyper growth stage (same thing, for me.) My background is in financial ops, risk ops, and ops to support machine learning and analytics, so those are the areas I’m targeting.

410k for ops role is unbelievably high... how much did ur stock appreciate since u joined?
A lot… I basically won the startup lottery. Not as much as some of my coworkers, but still. I’m definitely not expecting to replicate that in my next role.
